You're up high scissoring with a 262. He plays too long and ends up over controlling and spinning. Do you shoot him, or wait for him to recover?

Same deal but worse, he's in master pitch override. Shoot, or laugh? :)

If you give him time to recover, he will shoot you! Kill quick, then laugh your ever-loving arse off about his mistake! If I made that mistake with that many perks on the line, I would have to laugh with you about my mistake.

Voss I think that it all depends on How much you actually want the kill. I am pretty sure that most of the MA players would simply follow the example given spining 262 all the way down from 30k without caring about compression lawndarting or whatever in order to KILL a PERKPLANE!! Well If we were at 30k and he losts it and goes down in spin I would prolly shoot but probably would not follow him down. If he loses too much alt in the spin he is no longer a threat to you and if he recovers and starts grabing back up you can always zoom him...

2 days ago I was in Ta-152 not very expensive perkride but it has the dogtag :) Killed an Ar-234 but the bastard :D managed to ping me with his rear 20mm  (still wonder how did he do that coz he was manevuering quite violently) and took off my left airleon. After killing him I noticed 109 diving on me so I went nose down and dove too.  We ended down on the deck with 1.3k separation. I was weping it and the separation was increasing.... The 109 kept following me through 3.5 sectors! Question is would he do that If i was not in a perkplane?

Funny stuff...if he got you, he'd probably get what, 4-5 perkpoints ?

If he vulched two Lame-7s in a row, he'd get the same amount, without risking to run out of fuel deep inside enemy territory.

Most likely it is just envy. The "...I'll do my best just so you can't fly perked rides...". Funny ;)

One time I was in a 190 bouncing a low F4U. He saw me though, and evaded my first pass. After that I though, ok, this time Im gonna be patient and do this right. So I was basically BnZ-ing the F4U, and we both knew it would just be a matter of time before he ended up in the water.

I had seen the F4U shoot down a friendly before I got on his bellybutton so I knew who the pilot was too, and he was on a good sortie, I think he had 11-12 kills at the time.

Suddenly the F4U pilot came on ch1 saying something like "Fw190 bouncing me, Im low on gas, can I rtb and refuel and then come back (F4U)"

First I thought "yeah...right"

But then I changed my mind, sent "ok, you go get some fuel", broke off and let him rtb. I figured what the heck, its just a kill. He is on a good streak, and it would be just one no-skill-kill for me.

You shoot him while making sure to keep the pinky finger extended.

It takes great skill and patience to shoot down a plane spinning earthward.

Hortlund, you sure that wasn't a tount from the F4U ?

With channel 1 squelched, you don't have these problems. You just shoot him down.

Well, I cant be sure naturally, but it was a well known pilot in the F4U, and he was genuinely surprised that I let him go, and we did get to do that dogfight later (although it was 2vs2).

Perhaps he tricked me, but as I said, it was just a kill anyway, and we both knew it was just a matter of time before I would have nailed him.

I had a guy crippled, descending in a shallow dive.. I'd shot his engine dead, as well as knocking away several flying surfaces.. It was a good fight, and the guy did his best, but the show was over, he was dead meat; we both knew it.

I came alongside, lookin him over.. he was flying wreckage. I saw the gear come down, so I wagged my wings in salute and accelerated away, thinkin the guy earned a ditch. As I went by, he yanked his nose up and tried to gun me, then stalled and spun in.

Go figure. No good deed ever goes unpunished. ;)

Kill first, laugh later.

Anything else may lead to your floating in silk while he fly's home.

When I saw the header, I thought Voss was having a guilty conscience over drilling me at 20k while I was futzing around with the "Setup" panel, and then going on Channel 1 and saying "Ouch!  That's gotta hurt!". :)

That'll teach me to stay in the Tower until I've completed my pre-flight :)

Gofaster, I do that so much it doesn't bother me anymore. :D

I was feeling a little bad about the B-pony that came at me with a 5k advantage, only to find out how hot I was and then lose out spinning. I cut his tail off, and left him to the flat spin he was in. Someone finished him at 8k.

No, I left the 262 to auger on his own and without pinging him. I know how hard that spin can stress a 262 driver, and he was already beat. I went after the buffs and killed them. :D
