actually...

knifepoint means he used a knife as weapon in a robbery...

The fun part would be that some criminal went into a gun shop and tried to rob it with a knife

ROFL!!

"Trust an Italian to bring a knife to a gunfight" :D

No straffo... the man used a knife to rob a gunshop.

There is an old saying... never bring a knife to a gunfight.

To be considered for the Darwin Award, you have to remove yourself from the gene pool by destruction of the phenotype or elimination of its reproductive capacity.

Straffo -- to rob at knifepoint is to use a knife in a threatening manner to effect a socially unsanctioned transfer of property.  It's fairly effective, but I wouldn't recommend trying it in a gun store.

I love the way that (in print) the guy goes from a robber to a victim the minute he gets shot.

the way I see it, the store owner stopped being a victim when the gun was fired but the crook is still a crook.

Yes, but reversed by the "French" standard means "normal" by everybody else's standard :D
