You know the symptom. You fight a guy from above your field, until he runs to the deck (most of these new guys only have this after all) and a pack of your countrymen are suddenly between you and your bandit. This is where patience, a good connection, and careful aim come into play.

Patience to hold your fire, until you have a clear shot at the bogey.

A good connection, because if any friendlies warp you may pay the price.

Careful aim, because those oppurtunities must be scrutinized so carefully.

.... especially when your flying a plane with hispanos! ;)

Nerve wracking in a Tempest.

A new kind of hidden whine ? :D

It's even better when you're trying to clear the six of your wingman... the Mk108 shell passes right on top of the enemy and goes *pop* into your wingman's cockpit :D

I get this kind of Rabid Frothing at the mouth thing when Im actually going to kill a spit in my 110g2.

Last night I dove and fell in behind a spit in a low alt fight at a field capture party.  He turned left to HO another attacking friendly who was screaming in and I followed opening up the big guns at d300.  I lit him up and saw a single sprite on the friendlies wing tip...

30mm's dont leave much room for mistakes like that.  What I DO want to know is, if I hit his wing, why did my tail fall off?  I thought the damage went and affected the part you hit, in this case the right wing tip.

Oh! You've got it all wrong! I live for moments like this. A moment where, despite odds clearly stacked against you, you pull off the impossible and DON'T kill yourself. :D

Rude has you guys too anxious for a whine thread!

Lost a 262 last week due to ff, a squadmate had a con on his 6 and being the nice guy i am i came down to clear it.  Unfortunately i lit them both up:eek:
"Willy's gone and made another,
Something like it's elder brother-
Wing tips rounded, spinner's bigger.
Unbraced tailplane ends it's figure.
One-O-nine F is it's name-
F is for futile, not for fame."

What thrila is trying to say, He didn't hit either of them, Cause his aim sucks, he compressed, and his squaddie burned like a camp fire. :D
