So, what's our new strategy against buffs?

So...

What would now be a good strat for fighting multiple buffs?? Maybe the situations would differ according to how many buffs are remaining in the default 3 bombers?

For instance, the player located in the middle cannot get a clear sight of a target because the view is obstructed by friendly drones. If three buffs are in the box.. attack from view-obscured angles like 8 OC or 4 OC??

ps) I seem to notice player controlled guns fire through drones.. is this right?? :)

kwessa your stratagy has some flaws ( i know it was only an example) :)

1: the player can gun from any buff in any position not just middle plane (so you dont know if they can see or not)

2: you can have a gunner as well (formation sees and shots in 2 directions)

this meens you need 3 fighters (min) attacking, 2 to draw fire while one kills them.

tactic: wait for 2 newbies to fly d500 dead six of formation then dive on them :D

the i've also noticed i can fire through drones.

OK, seriously folks. . .

Actually, although I love the buffs, I'm forced to say that at the moment it's actually really easy to shoot them down.  It's supposed to be the case that if you are in the lead ship and are shot down, you can jump to one of the other ships.  Doesn't work out like that, however, and in retrospect, it's easy to see why.  As soon as the lead ship is taken out and begins to dive, spin, whatsoever, the drones try to follow suit, and they don't recover.  I was in a lead buff that was hit, and as soon as I got into the second buff, I found that it was in a steep dive--just as the wings ripped off.

And that's also how I've shot down buffs.  Aim for the leader, and its likely you get a three pack.

yeah, only cannon birds will be able to hit buffs. 3 buffs AND 3 buff gun sets aiming at you.. sigh.

your best bet will be to get a 30mm 109 or a 4 hispano tiffie/chog and spray like hell before you get whacked.
