Giving some rest to the topic so HTC and the AKs modify the map as they have already said they are doing?.

How about giving some credit to the MAGNIFIC work 1.10 is, instead of bashing it?.

How about showing some GRATITUDE to some UNPAYED fellas who have worked hard on a BIG map (even if you don't like it).

HOw about focusing on the great new strat system and buff formations HTC has implemented instead of crying that you don't like this map?

And over all...

How about also starting topics WITH THE LOTS OF THINGS YOU ARE LIKING IN 1.10 instead of focusing just on the negative ones?.

So please STOP the "I don't like this map" spam chite. WE ALREADY know there are people who don't like it, and I'm sure HTC won't stay arms crossed about it.

ok?

Well, now move on.

people change, you know :p. Mostly when you get some perspective on what matters in life and what not.

This doesn't mean I've changed my view on certain things about AH, just that I now put them in perspective and work to get around then. BEfore I got stuck in each and all of them and posted about everything I disliked...and of course that was not a good way to follow.

But yep, apache I may not be the most indicated one to start this thread, but after a zillion new consecutive threads about the 1.10 map, 95% of them with negative feedback, I thought someone should do it and cut this for once at all.

If it has to be me, then I'll do it. I was once too fast to point at what I thought was wrong in AH. Now I can be as fast to point at what I think is great in AH :p ;)

ANyway this is offtopic in this thread ;). Back to what we were doing.....

1.10 rocks! :D

It is the middle of Summer here in the northern hemisphere.  Outside my apartment, the temperature is in the 90's.

That being said, why did I just feel a chill run up and down my spine?

Oh, I know, that was hell freezing over!

j/k RAM

I agree with you 100% by the way.

Well said Ram,...

I think some people might have forgotten that alot a people put a lot of hard work in 1.10.   And I'm sure someone had to work during the holidays to babysit the servers and help people with downloads and review bugs.

HTC deserves alot better than all these crips,  give it a rest and say thank you, gees its only been 3 days.

Thought I should come back and qualify my agreement. I agree with the ability to change ones self and about perspective.

I don't agree, however, that folks shouldn't voice they're likes and dislikes. Thats how things get changed, whether we like it or not, lol.

of course, and I don't say otherwise...but see the messages posted since 1.10 was released.......most of them are about the same item. And all of them in a very negative way.

I'd say that the concerns and dislikes regarding the map are well voiced and posted already, both online and here. I'd say it's already known by HTC...then you open the BBS and find jewels like this one...:

Thread:The Pizza is 3 days old - time to throw it out!

Post: The anchovies are stinkin the place up.

One thing is venting your concerns, other is....well, other is "this". This is not beating a dead horse anymore....this is punching ,shooting, jumping over it and smashing it with a bat.

Enough is enough, I guess...and I think there's been enough of "I dont like this map" and very little of "I like a lot **THIS** of 1.10"...so that's why I started this thread.

True Ram, some do go overboard, I'll give you that.

Understand tho, this is our platform, yours and mine alike. It is our voice where we can be heard reference our little hobby. I have, what I feel, at times a valid point to make. Some may think it garbage but I still have an obligation to myself to make myself heard, as do you.

Not arguing with you per se, just wanted to clarify.

nothing stopping you from starting threads about the good things in 1.10 or about the good things in the map.    I think you just want to be considered politicaly correct tho.

Why worry about those who complain if their complaints are meanigless?    Why bother to berate them when your time could better be spent proving them wrong or starting up a cheerleading thread.

I know that cheerleading and butt smooching are new to you but.... I believe ripsnore has a corespondence course if you wish to get good at it.

The halibut is that yes the beating of the horse is taking place. That is a good thing. The message is being delivered..

As far as the amount of work put in to the map ?? Kudos, it must have been a ball buster. Tremendous amount of work, that must have been fun doing. Although it no doubt had it's moments.

Not privy, but I would imagine quite a few objectives were put forth that had to be adhered too. Size was a requirement and if you look at the majority of complaints, size is the overwelming complaint.

And the AK's wouldn't have had imput on that ( could be wrong )

The AK map was a "point man" for a larger map.. a feeler ??

Beating a dead horse is required if that's the case.

Being a point man has it's risks.

Chitty place to be in..

This game is in a constant state of development. Because of this we are eternal beta testers, until the game dies out or a better one comes along.

Do you think that the reason a very large map, with very many fields, and multiple zone sectors may be because they are planning to move into getting far more players into the game?

By this same token, don't you also believe that the map should be tested before they make the jump? If the map isn't tested by all of us, then this means that it'll be tested when the jump is made. So it would be untested and there is potential for it not to work (WWIIOl).

Complain all you want, but when we get an arena with 800-1000 players that works right off the bat... you'll be as happy as a fat man at hooters.
