As you know, the Fw190F8 historically was the ultimate Jabo version of the Fw190. It had lots of sub-variants, an impressive range of weapons to select (even tho many of them were only experimental, the plane could and did carry many different loadouts).
Turns out that in AH we only have three AtG goodies to select between, for the plane which was renowned to be the most versatile Jadgbomber of the Luftwaffe. a 250kg/500kg bomb or DT in the central rack and 4x50kg bombs in the wings.
So summing it up, and to be brief...The Fw190F8...
1.- has no extra armor over the A8
2.- lacks the racks for wing drop tanks and 250kg bomb used in the long range jabo version of the F8 (F8/U1)
3.- can't carry more than a 500kg bomb in the center rack. It could carry up to 1800kg bombs there (no, I'm not asking for a 1800kg bomb
but a SC1000 of 1000kg would be neat). It also could carry up to 8 50kg bombs in a special adaptator for the central rack. Not here, tho.
4.- lacks AtG Panzerblitz rockets when historically they were used in the last months of the war.
5.- An A8 with 500kg bomb and 30mm cannons is better jabo in all and every sense (Except for the bubble canopy)
6.- It has lower ENY than the A5 and A8 (Which if you think about it, makes no sense at all).
Some people like the F8 to kill GV with its wing bombs. You need to hit square on the top of an ostie with one of those tiny bombs to kill it, and 95% of the people is not that accurate.
So it turns out that anything the F8 can do, the A8 will do it better. So why use the F8?.
No reason at all.
