That's a pretty broad statement whels. Certainly we'd be happier if everyone loved the map and everything was perfect with it.

However, this thread, as are some others, is a whine. When the whine is directed at me, I respond. This thread barely stops short of blaming the AK's for the demise of Aces High and finishes with a "change it or I quit" statement. Nobody likes whiners, except maybe their parents. :p

those who say they are gonna leave-

good-bye. best wishes. really.

and when you find a better sim, with more features, more planes, more vehicles, better naval action, better flight models, better development team, a better community, and just plain more ways to have fun, do drop us a note, won't you?

thanks.

You should really stay with the subject instead of attacking the messenger.

1. Never said u attack someone. I said the way u and dago act is childish.
2. If i say u and dago act childish i dont attack u but rather i try explain that ur kind of threats are unneeded.

BTW why not stop this thing and discuss the needed changes on the map. Make suggestions how to evolve the things. I think it's better discussing this than getting into personal hostility. U agree?

My point,

I like the map. Have no problems finding squaddies or a fight or a base to go to. Had no problems seeing BIG fights or sparsely populated areas. Saw a concerted team effort to reset the arena, which as far as I could see was going splendidly. you ruffian rooks and nits.

Last point. From the numbers online in the MA, it would seem that there are quite a few folks who can live with the map. If yer gonna leave over the map, then do so. If you like the game and the combat the map is a secondary consideration.

Nothing seems to be static in the game except for the whining. :D
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Can't agree with u here. I think many "whiners" (ups wrong word) ;) are a little over the top. Next release of the map and next new map will help them to calm down. Many of them are good sticks and sensible persons who need a glas (or a barrel) of good german beer.

I agree, his map is too big and kills frame rates. Should dump it and get a smaller and better (and I mean BETTER) map!

Duedel-

actually a big spliff of kin bud is better for calming the nerves and getting mellow.

the thing is, spend waaaay too much time on message boards and this kind of 'do this or i'm leaving' thread is common. so, i don't wish to insult those posters, but wish them luck in their pursuit of something better.

i just wish they would maybe send private message to whomever they disagree with, and then leave quietly.

OK, how 'bout this "whine"...

Since V1.10 and the introduction of this current map I have lost all enthusiasim for AcesHigh.

It's just not "AS" fun anymore for me and LOTS of other people.

I suspect a change in the terrain is due in the near future...I'll look forward to it just as much as I looked forward to v1.10.

As for v1.10....all the new features are great except for the map. I don't think it will ever be as much fun as previous maps untill the player base expands to populate it properly.

Now, is that a "proper" whine?

Well done MrLars, your inclusion of "LOTS" of others even gave it more weight and credibility. A good whine will often speak for "LOTS" of others. :D

Quit, shutup, give contsuctive help to the great guys that took the time to build it, or by all means, again, shutup.

hey, i got quibles with the map. all the bases are too high, even the coastal bases. try taking off from a mountain base with a heavy pony. i also think the contries should be distributed with each in thier own slice.

but my frame rates are the same, and i can find a furball when i want to. can also run some small unit 'milk runs' that end up in some fun little 3 v 3 type missions.

Whether you belive it to be pathetic or not that doesn't change the FACT that a significant portion of the AH player base isn't happy with the current map.

Since this forum is here for the discussion of things concerning AH, I strongly feel that people who post their negative comments here are doing a valuable service to HTC by letting them know what the "darker" side of the player base feels, and many have sugested ways to fix the current situation.

Being a "yes man" isn't the way to change and improve things in AH or RL.

Neither is harsh criticism which most of us tend to ignore and/or resent.

The best way to improve things in AH is build a better map. Have you started yet?
