I dunno. I'm less pissed off about the whines then the reactionary attempt by some to close off any chance at debate by labelling their criticism as whining and proceeding to attack the whiners in some misdirected notion of "closing ranks".

Dago has absolutely nothing to debate, he's simply stating he doesn't like the map, wants it out of rotation, or his account is going to be closed. Nope, sorry, no debating there- it's just a clean cut statement with what appears to be a veiled threat of closing his account.

If I really have to point out that this thread was started with the intent of nothing other than attacking HTC, and the AKs creation, then I see why you think we are seeing everything as whines... maybe cuz most of 'em are?

Yeah, that looks like its open to discussion too. This is on the first page only.

The threads started with the intent of actually discussing the map and it's design still remain very civilized.

Unfortunately, I only found 2 threads actually debating/discussing. I saw 3 other threads, and other ones that are a mix of people attacking each other, that were simply designed to start a flame fest, or so the author could complain without any constructive feedback.

I don't see any reason the discussion has to become insulting in either direction. Neither side's argument gains any traction from that. On the other hand a calm, rational discussion on the pro's and con's of a design can only help HTC refine their requirements for future terrains. Some people on boths side of the discussion seem to want to help, others, on both sides just wnat to get thier hits in.

Lazs, you misunderstand my post. I'm simply pointing out the futility of whining. I don't think Pyro has ever squelched anyone for purely whining. Abusive whining maybe.

I don't need anyone moderated either here or in the MA, so long as I can squelch.

You or anyone else has the right to whine if they want. Just as I have the right to point it out, if maybe a little mockingly.

and my point is.... that most of the more vitriholic and moronic posts on the subject are by your supporters... not your detractors and that... vitriol and moronic are the likely candidates for "whine of the week" in my experiance in reading past "winners".
