The only kills that should count are the ones that are landed.  All others are meaningless.

The only hits that should count are the ones that destroy the right aileron, all others are meaningless.

If ya can't land them ya shouldn't get them!  You are dead, so why should you care anyway?

This will also put a stop to the mindless furballing:)

It also makes people who want to land the kills fly the fastest plane they can so they can haul bellybutton home.

Which makes certain people who fly 1941 era planes recieve  the toejam end of the stick cuz they gotta chase all the pansies running home to land their kills they cherry picked from them just so they can get a measly kill.

Why does anyone care?
Why do you care?
Why wouldn't I care?

No it won't.

A lot of people play mostly because they like to furball.
A lot of people don't care much about the score.

Furballing is just as legitimate as cherry-picking.
Each to their own.

I care because I earn my kills on the battlefield.  Since I fly a slow plane, making it home isn't always in the cards.  What you're suggesting not only doesn't make sense, but it would cripple gameplay.  Do you believe that kills were never awarded posthumously in real life?

I'm curious how mindless furballing detracts from your enjoyment of the game.  Care to elaborate?

The guys who care about landing kills need the mindless furballers more than anyone.

Put everyone into flights of 4 that grab 20-25k each hop and most of the guys who pride themselves on their smart flyin would get knocked on their bellybutton pretty quick.

I often think people use the term "mindless furballing" because they just can't seem to do it well.

Very true.

Not hard to clobber my low, outnumbered and anchored-by-spits, out-of-cannon, 300 mph max, 109F with a zooming 400 mph boomstang.

Also not too hard to kill 98765432 (joe-newbie) in his P-47D-30 with 2500# of bombs, rockets & 100% gas when his only intent is to dump all his stuff on the town.

Not that cherry picking isn't a legitimate skill within itself, but to be critical of your victoms when they aren't even playing the same game as you is a sign of someone who's only fooling himself.

About as silly as if I were to say that I was better than player XXX because I vulched him 5 times before he got airborn and suicide HOed me down.
