If I showed this to my poor Coal-burning PIII-800, it might not ever restart again....

Perhaps not, but at least it would die happy.

Rip, if your PIII-800 burns coal, what's my PIII-600 burn? :(

I never trust pics that are straight down on terrain.  It looks like bitmapped imagery with a few buildings actually being 3d.

The plane looks awesome except for the AB and the fuel pod.

Awesome pic. Just hoping it doesn't go the way of SU27 Flanker. They posted some awesome pics starting more than a year before release, as release time neared the pics changed, not for the better. Could be wrong, just the way I remember it.

Heh, remember our B17 formation the other night?  what'd we have, 3-5 of us, with 9-15 planes?  When I looked external view, and rotated backward to look at the formation against a clear blue sky, I was getting 11 fps :(

I need to skip the con and upgrade! :D (But I'm not going too...)

Nice plane!  The terrain shadows are all messed up though.

Look at the shadows from the trees, then look at the shadows from the buildings.  OOPS!

Those trees are painted on to the terrain it appears, while those buildings are actually 3D objects and are either missing shadows or it's high noon.

Either way, I'm sure that stuff gets pixelated down low... just looked like a perfect example of photorealism to me.

The water in LOMAC, OTOH, looks terrific...

Here is a screenshot of the terrain down low w/A10

Ah.. the terrain looks quite a bit different down low.  The A-10 photo looks like pretty run of the mill terrain (OFP-like).  The water in the other looks great.

I remember the first test I did of my G4 card... when the rolling ocean test came up.  Just too cool.
