Given the nature of how 190 flies, I believe double MG151/20 gondolas would be better for 190 than MK103s. You need ROF, not Vo and range. If you live by snapshots, you will do better if your plane can saturate the air around enemy plane with shells. MK103 can't, multiple MG151/20 battery can.

As for MK103, it would be cool on planes which used it - Me 410 more than any other. Still, I'd like many MG151/20s better on 410. As many as it can carry.

Define Combat trials Pongo? Because a few experimental aircraft actually shot the weapon that makes it right? Come on.

The Mk103 was not used operationally by Fw190's. Period. Just because you see it alot in books or models, doesn't change the fact. Its called "novelty value".

Now, I agree that it should be included on the Me410 or the Hs219 and would enjoy seeing them in the game.  But the Mk103 does not belong on the 190 series in AH, and I fly alot of 190's.

same ability to cater thier gun loads that the US planes would be cool..and fair.

Huh? How do the US planes have an unfair advantage by being able to customize their gun loads?

Mustangs can choose 4 or 6 MG's.  Jugs can choose 6 or 8 MG's. Lightnings can change ammo loads.  109's can choose different nose cannons, and to load gondolas.  190's can choose x2 20mm, x4 20mm's, and the A8 can choose x2 30mm's.

Where's the disparity?

I can't get rid of the cowl MGs in my 190A5 and 190A8. And that could be done (and was done) in real life :)

That applies to all FW190s. Would love to fly a lighweight D9 without the MG131.

blah blah blah..
your just agreeing with me. I aggree it shouldnt be in the game. Iwas just saying why we hear about it so much. there are so many pictures and other games and models with the things that people think they are production items.

You are right about the flexibility of the german ACs guns. I just wish they would finish it that last little bit.
remove the 13mm from the 30mm A8 as it was historicaly. And allow the removal of the cowl guns and thier weight on all german AC.  For exaclty the same reason that the US persuit fighters remove them. Same for the spits. Spit Vs at malta often flew with no 303s. let us remove them and see the difference.

Pongo,

That is only because the Germans and British had differing methods of testing armament ideas.  500 of the six cannon Spitfires were ordered in 1941 as Griffon powered Mk XXs, but a clerk saw the order for Mk XXs when the standard Spit was a Mk V and assumed it was an error and changed the order to Mk Vs (at least that's how I understand it).  It got just as close to real use as did the Mk103 Fw190s.
