You lied to us ieN...
You told us you were going to install a proper chase view a' la WBs 2.7...and you didn't do it.
What you gave us instead was a crippled distorted outside view of an aircraft in flight a' la Aces High...IL Stromovik...WWII Fighters...and a long list of others out there that just couldn't quite get it right.
You think I'm nit picking...? Just get off your wing in the outside view, do a roll, and see how utterly ridiculous, unatural, and completely disorienting your point of reference becomes. This is where Warbirds ceases to be a "simulation". Do you really think this is the view that someone flying off the wing of that plane would be seeing...?
What infuriates me even more is the fact that you had it right in your previous version...and you just couldn't leave well enough alone.
Warbirds III has made great new strides in many directions...but this, most assuredly, isn't one of them.
"What's the big deal...?" you're saying..."We got bigger things to worry about..!" "Who cares about the stupid chase view anyway...You can't even use it online unless you're in a heavy."
Well for me it is a big deal...I used to fly in the arenas A LOT. But I'd always fly offline for awhile first, just to make sure I had myself in hand. I used to like flipping to the outside view and watching these beautiful aircraft swoop and bank so naturally around the sky. Many, many times if people or things got on my nerves around here I could go into my office, close the door, and pretend that was me up there...stalling and falling off on one wing...and it would soothe me, like alcohol...but not anymore. You've ruined all of that...and it's become so upsetting for me that I refuse to fly online anymore at all...haven't for months. I've kept my account open only because I've had an account at WBs since it's original beta, years and years ago, but for the first time in all of that time I'm really pissed off and asking myself why I should I...?
You've got your tanks...and a lot of other frivilous features installed now...
How about making this right...? The way it was...and one of those things that set this sim apart from and above the others.
