Bombes

Sorry but I'm unable/stupid to use the Bombing Sights and bombing is about my favorite.  Please make a manual I can download.

At present I have read the instructions, read the bombing instructions and suggestions on the BB, especially kawessa tutorial and understand this.  I have practiced on a regular basis for as much as three hours a night since the new patch.  I still having major troubles.

So for us stupid people please help.  I'm especially having trouble with the calibration mode, look forward, set the speed, set the alt and when I press U for the bombing sights and it turns back green I'm no longer lined up with the target.  Now keep in mind that I line the plane up, use the sights and go back for the actual bombing drop and never on line.

So, before I can be of any help to my fellow countrymen with my bombing please help me. Thanks.

Line up the plane in the general direction of your target before you go to the bombardier position.  Calibrate your sight using a convenient landmark on the ground beneath your plane. When you exit calibration mode and get your green confirmation, then use the rudder trim keys to yaw your plane into alignment with your target as seen through the bombsight.

The better your lineup before you go to the bombsight, the less work you have to do hunched over the sight. And remember that, until HTC fixes the bomb bug, your sight figures in drag on the bombs, but the bombs don't actually have any drag, so you're going to be shooting long -- drop before your crosshairs are on your target; with some practice, you'll figure out what Tennessee windage to use.

Thanks very for much for your time.  Have tried that several times.  I have been told to line up the bomb sights under the calibration mode on the target itself, under the plane and just a little before the plane.  However I'm still off of target and when I correct   I would be way off.  So I will try rudders and that might be the answer.  Cool Dude !  Thanks

It hasn't made a difference offline, which is bizarre, because it's the same FE whether it's online or offline, but I find that when I use my joystick to adjust my lineup when I'm on the bombsight (after calibration, of course), I always wind up throwing left or right of my aim point -- sometimes unpleasantly far left or right. If I use the rudder trim keys to adjust my lineup, all I'm left with is the long drop from the dragless bombs -- if I calibrated the sight properly, the bombs hit along the vertical bombsight line.
