i think you are not holding your mark point steady while hittin Y key during calibration.

Hi JJ,
Sounds to me as thought you might need to set a small "Deadband" on the roll axis of your Joystick. What you are describing sounds like you are accidently moving the Joystick left or right while trying to get a ground feature to calibrate on. (Perhaps you have your Joystick at a slight angle to your seating position - Just a thought)

Increasing the deadband may not be helpful, particularly when you are bombing with a crosswind. In cases like that, your sight picture will be drifting laterally as well as downward, and you will have to put in lateral correction to hold your sight on a ground spot.

i dont htink any off that stuff will do it..it may but.....

I get the same problem..cross hairs moving sideways..

what i do is  calibrate that way...get out of calibration.....

go to external view..for a second,,then jumpo back in bom site and calibrate..

it does to me probably 1 out of 10 times...

when i jump back in it usually is traking the way ot shoulb be.. 12  klok to 6 klok tracking....

i just kep poping in and out of the f6 view..and it should work....

I think what's really happening is you're using the calibration mode to view bomb damage and forgetting to toggle it off before leaving the bomb sight position.  When you return to the bomb sight later, just toggle the Y and U keys a couple of times until you get the proper view, then recalibrate for your next run.
You can test this by putting the sight in "mark mode" then jump to pilot, turn the A/C 90 degrees, jump back to bombsight.  The results will be as described earlier.
Easy in-game again.

Yes, I noticed this as well recently; I'd bombed one of the cities, and watched BDA through the sight; the next time I looked through the sight was 15,000' lower and going in the opposite direction -- the bombsight was looking up, starboard, and astern, loosely in the direction of the city I'd bombed. Toggling U reset it, though.
