just somthing for fellow P-38 nuts that want HiFi sounds realism.

engine start is actual P-38 starting up.

guns and eng are akwabbits (can't improve upon akwabbits perfection   )

flaps n gear have that low rumbling thudness I've experienced in most aircraft I've flown.

rockets are a bit of a departure from the standard "swoooosh" sound, more of a thud which from what I have read is a more accurate sound due to the position of the rockets  with the engines between them and the pilot.

enjoy

btw when you start up 1 engine or both at the same time, watch the prop animation as you listen to the sound of the engine starting up.

it fits like a glove

Great sound pack and thanks for posting it for use.

By the way the rockets sound just like the ones I heard once from a helicopter. You don't hear the swoosh like the default setting, but there is this thump sound like you provided. I'm not a pilot so can't add much more. Maybe you already checked with your pilot friends, but it sounds right on.

Thanks for the sounds Citabria. I like the flap and gear sounds so much that I made them the default for all a/c.

Haven't tried the rockets yet.

I really like them! For some reason I didn't have a 'p38l' sound folder, even though I has AKWabbits sounds installed. Must have been pre-38 sounds. Anyway I like the default sounds very much, but Citabrias all sound so very very real.  From the engine start up syncing with the props, to the gear, flaps and rockets. Even the stall sound, but I retained the default stall sound because that is what I am used to when flying and I hear it alot when I turn fight in the P-38
Thanks Citabria. Thanks to all you folks who create these sounds for us unmassed washes!

I was flying offline in external view and noticed that the N1K2 and some other a/c have a longer cycle time for gear retraction. I get three cycles when using Citabria's gear sounds on the Shiden-Kai for instance. Now, I know nothing about sound editing but it seems to me that by padding out some extra "in-between" sound it could be adjusted to fit the various a/c. My question is, what software do you sound pro's use to edit these files?
