True enough, but the preponderance of the posts are much more mature- but that isn't what it's about, really.
For a flight sim enthusiast, WWIIOL just doesn't do it. There is no particular use for bombers now, there are serious questions about damage model, and there are performance issues that hinder realistic play even if it did exist. Fighter combat is pretty much a matter of CAS and anti-CAS, or vultch. The disparity of capability on the respective sides, while arguably historic in a distorted sense (critical missing opponents will always prevent realism), it is decidedly un-fun to play. Plans to address the omissions are always discussed, but after a year don't appear any closer to happening than when the game started. The new planes we were told would be here "soon" were admitted by Hatch to not even being begun at this point. This adds up to another 6 month wait if the current development cycle pace remains the same, and there doesn't seem to be any reason to believe it won't. This means flying will remain un-fun for the forseeable future.
AH is nothing more than it is advertised to be; a flight combat sim based on WWII. Its members tend to be far more knowledgeable of WWII history than most of the posters on the WWIIOL forums, and tend to be able to conduct discussions based on historical fact. Yup, there are exceptions, but they aren't nearly as prevalent as over there.
