HT ? about 3 land fight
« on: September 23, 2001, 09:18:00 PM »
why do we even have the 3rd land? for 2 months straight Rook/Bish have not fought
more then 2 couple hours in a day. 99% of the time, they have no fightin between them.
they both are on knits.

id bet of the last 30 resets, Bish have won
27,Knits 2, and Rooks maybe 1. Rooks rather lose  reset then fight bish.

Its making a joke of the 3 country MA, just logged off, 90 bish 50 rooks all on 45 knits.
everyday, all day same tune for 2 months now.

sinc bish/rook refuse to fight, just delete 1 of them and make MA a 2 country arena.

Can't say i agree about the 2 country thing, but i am on the verge of logging for the simple reason it ain't too enjoyable at the moment.  I left the bish this evening because the swarm would descend and wipe out what little resistance there was... no fun in that, so I switched to knits... you can find 10 enemy or none...  not my kinda fun either.  Oh and the long flight time can be a b@tch when all your front fields have porked fuel..

Hopefully the strat system won't accelerate the problem.  A country down to just a few bases should have a better supply system than a country with ALOT of bases. (with factories in equal states)
My little suggestion, the fewer bases a country has the quicker the rebuild times, the more bases the slower, up to a reasonable max, and minimum of course.

WHAT!!!!

I have 31 kills of Bishes and 19 kills of Knits.

Last reset I was on for the Rooks won (by the Bish capturing a Knit VF admittedly).

Your feelings do not reflect reality I'm afraid.

This Rook has hardly been focusing on the Knits.

From what I see is that rook and bish do have a tendancy to gang up BUT when knights have numbers we are normally advancing on two fronts which lead to payback time when numbers change again.

oh come now whels, let me guess... this is a conspiracy right? <G>

Rooks tried to save the Knights last night by taking huge number of Bishops bases.  We even ended up right by their HQ and bombed the hell out of it.  In fact, I was on the Lancaster that destroyed their radar.

But that didn't stop the Bishops to take your last base.

After the reset, it was the Rooks fighting a two front war on the Baltic Map.  Bishops took about 4 or 5 of our bases down south while the Knights took two in the north.  There was a massive attack on A43 by the Knights which was taken by a overrun.

Ya ungrateful bastid, we tried to save ya last map and this is what we get in return <G>  It was fun trying to prevent you guys though.  Especially when I surprised an M3 emptying its troops on our map room at A43!!  :))

I've got the answer. To control this 2 on 1 MA battle there needs to be 2 or 4 teams not an odd amount. That way its fair by the numbers. If implemented I suggest the 4th team be called The Queens" and all n1k1 broken model flying ,can't get a kill in real plane pilots be sent to it.

i personally prefer attacking bishops

but truthfully, even though my stats reflect the opposite, i usually dont even care what front im fightin on. lately the plan has been to take off from a base far away in a 190, climb to alt, and then pick off anyone i can find alone whether they be bish or knit.

Wait for seven days, power balance will be changed.

HT, please add an end of tour status that shows how many bases were captured by each country and what country they captured them from.

I.e.
Rooks captured 1021 fields. 450 from the Bishops and 571 from the Knights.
Rooks lost 989 fields. 400 were lost to the Bishops and 589 were lost to the Knights.

Also, please put a status up for how many resets were won for each country and who the looser was for each (total numbers)

I.e.
The rooks won 54 wars by defeating the Bishops 23 times and the Knights 31 times.

Maybe with these kind of hard data, people will actually see that the wars are fairly even, even if thir time-zone might make things look differently.

Heck, maybe we could get fancy and put in other statistical data like which countries capture th most fields during different times of the day.

Just some thoughts.

My stats:

Tour 19:  247 Bish Kills,  144 Rook Kills
Tour 20:  112 Bish Kills,  182 Rook Kills

It's just your perception.  The truth is: In a 3-sided game like this it almost always seems like the other 2 sides are ganging up on you.

Yea, we (knits) been losing badly lately. Partly because of numbers but also cos bishops are mean MFs  :)

Bishops are always using the best equipment...there are only N1K2s and La7s all around. They never lack goon pilots. They have always bombers otw to targets.

In knights side we have all the opposite - we have wonderful fiter jockeys but that ain't gonna win the war.

Ok, I like the underdog, last 109 up and fite the odds thing, but that is not for all.

Well, my thoughs only on euro time zone.
