Hang looks at thermometer. 104 degrees today.. Hang looks back at the water.

"Screw it. It's wet and cold. That's real enuff."

Hang executes a perfect 1 1/2 gainer, and hits a rock 3 inches below the surface.

"Damn, the fargin rocks sure are realistic.. (groan) ....MEDIC!!!"

Another new revison, another swimmin hole, another rock or two.. life crawls on.

Very good points Maniac, but realisticallismly how do you know it will easier?  IMO you are still have not supported your claims, be more specific.

The only component of 1.04 that I have read about so far that could possibly make things easier was described by HiTech himself.  That was his description of dissappearing Icon's.  

My flying style takes advantage of ambush tactics so disapearing Icons should make this easier for me to do.

But...

From my experience thus far in AH, anytime the game changed, player tactics changed.  This created tactics to counter those tactics.  This in turn changed more tactics etc etc tec....

The key word is change.

To my understanding the way trim currently works is this way (in concept only):

    Consider the maximum range of deflection for a control surface, in this case the elevator.  Suppose that full movement of your joystick provides a control surface maximum deflection for the elevator of 20 degrees.

    This means the elevator will deflect 20 degrees upward and 20 degrees downward using full forward and back motions of the joystick.  This is the case when the trim control for the elevator is centered.

    Now take the elevator trim control and move it all the way down.  So that you have maximum down trim on the elevator.  

    What you have done is only to adjust the range for the elevator by moving the center point of operation.  It still only moves 20 degrees upward and 20 degrees downward, but the center piont has moved 10 degrees downward.  

    So this is now the case, when using the joystick for a full forward and back movements.  The maximum elevator deflection is now 10 degrees upward and 30 degrees downward vice 20 degrees upward and 20 degrees downward.

I don't think trim realistically works this way.  You decide.  

As too your other concerns about top speed, you might be interested that this is not nearly the issue that you condem it to be.  Try AutoTrim and become proficient with it, most players use it constantly with very good results.
