The only things I think would be needed, would be a compass for the downed pilot. So he could be directed to a clearing(lots of trees in some spots. Hard to land}. Ad a PBY, or some such, for water rescue.
As far as strafing them on the ground. What the hell, let um find out what its like to be a grunt:)
