AW vs AH Crap - Knock it Off

AH Guys - From what I have seen, AW players have a lot to offer our game.  Some of the best pilots I've ever seen came to AH from AW.  There seem to be a lot of them interested in scenarios too, which is a GOOD THING.  And this is a potential windfall for HTC.  More paying accounts means more financial security for HTC which means more resources and employees which means a better sim in the long run, which is a REALLY REALLY GOOD THING.  So be nice.

AW Guys - Welcome aboard.  If you need help or tips, pester me online or send a private UBB message.  If you like scenarios, check out the TOD.  If you want to talk about AW, consider the O'Club.  Not because it threatens me somehow.  But because it clutters up the discussions of AH and a lot of people will feel the need (justifiably or not) to respond negatively to your postings.  In short it causes unneeded friction in the community.  Enjoy.

Had my bellybutton handed to me last night by a few AW guys. Despite some reports to the contrary they obviously know which end of the plane has bullits commin outta it.

Seems to me, that since they are over here and not over there that they are AH guys now.

Kind of...  This is much like being an immigrant to the USA.

The trick is to ASSIMILATE without giving up HERITAGE.

Good Example: The Sicilians came here and learned the language and got jobs. They kept the best parts of thier culture like the food, and the Mafia (teaches respect for elders) and the women.

Bad Example: The Hispanics that demand we print everything in thier language, collect welfare, and become elders at 13. The food is still good.

Everybody came from some other sim before this.  The only reason the AW guys are being noticed more is because it all happened in one big lump.  like the potato famine.  

Fuggit.  I haven't particularly noticed hating their guts anymore than anyone else.

In a couple of months you won't be able to pick them out of the crowd.  Then we can all pick on the WWIIOL newbies that show up when their sim goes tits up together.

But seriously... I'm glad the post makes sence. There is a segment of the AW community that will always however have an "identity" of sorts. The real die hard scenario types. We've been through SO much together that we'll always have a "bond" of sorts.
