Aircraft type listed when landing kills
« on: July 19, 2002, 02:02:05 AM »
It's REALLY nice to see the aircraft types listed when landing kills.
For example instead of just FW190 it actually tells what model FW.

I really appreciate that.

Hope this forum isn't for squeaking only. :D
Gone from the game. Please see Spikes or Nefarious for any Ahevents.net admin needs.

Shiva, it's a game.

Kanth, I'm with you.  I think it's great to see what model and varient you won or lost to.

Victories were often recovered and the type of aircraft established right down to the serial number..

Hmmm.. maybe I read this wrong.. but it didn't seem like Kanth was asking for anything.  Sounded to me like Kanth was being complimentary about an existing feature.

Would hate to see a string of ascerbic posts wasted on a misunderstanding  :)

I'm sure it took years off their development schedule because of the resources allocated to alter that text output.

Hey Shiva-
If you would have read his post well before you began your verbal diarrhea, you would have seen that he was not talking about seeing what type of aircraft you killed. He is saying that he enjoys seeing "JoeBlow landed 5 kills in a Sopwith Camel."

I think it's a great addition also.

Raub,

Kanth is a she, not a he.

...and shiva is a dork with limited reading comprehension.  Kanth never asked to have the type of plane she killed to be listed.

Got anything better to do than start an argument?  Really, you'll have to work hard to take the top instigator spot.

I think the message should be adjusted for the type of plane you're flying.

Heck, if you land one kill in a C-202 you ought to get a tip of the hat in the text buffer.

OTOH, if you buzz around in a 262 your exploits should be totally ignored unless you get .... umm..... maybe 20 kills. Because, after all, jets are for kids.

I love the feature too.

Now I wish that the squad association wasn't listed too... it truncates the message for some people with alot of ---<<<<---- in their squad ID.
