This has nothing to do with his political views, he's just an idiot.

I like him, his "in your face" commentary and overall, enjoy him.  I may not always agree with him, but I do not necessarily wanna sit there and nod in agreement for an hour on a news program.  What I LIKE is that I can shout "EXACTLY!" when he calls the various people on their bogus views (Jesse Jackson, etc etc)

I find him entertaining and sometimes enlightening

I like the way he makes his "guests" squirm

It's not a talk show, it's an arguement show.  I can watch it for about 5 min until people are unable to complete sentences because they are interupted or yelled at.  If O'Reilly was a straight newscaster I would still think that he is an ass.  I hate that Jim Rome guy for the same reason.

The same goes for all of these "Judge" shows.  I am in court often and it is funny to see people come in where their only experience with legal preceedings is from watching these shows.  They are usually squeakslapped by the judge within two minutes as they try and interrupt, speak out of turn, or stomp their feet and pout.  I hear the term, "This is not Jugde Judy!" often. :D

In a recent thread about one of clintons girl friends (the one he married) I pointed out that she did not talk to surviving family members after 9.11. The gut said he wanted proof. I mentioned that I had seen them with my own eyes. Needless to say, the gut never answered. Where I saw these people, was on the O'reilly factor. I find his constant self promotion a little hard to swallow sometimes.  But must admit, he goes straight to the heart of controversial matters with remarkable consistency.

The Gut, did answer. I said I couldn't find anything on the issue. Then I posted a conflicting article. Go back and look.

That "idiot" has one of the most popular news network shows on TV.  He's kicking CNN's ass, and they're stumped as to why

o'reilly is a entertainer, he's selling a product just like all the "sports" stars , all the "news" people, all the talk shows, all the stock market shows
if a show is boring nobody will watch it , no advertizing money, so they all have to spice it up to get you to watch.

I watch him several times each week.  The only thing I find phoney, is when he tries to sound compassionate.  The guy is obviously a conservative hard ass. His infrequent attempts at being touchy-feeley, just make me smile. I don't care about that. I want both sides of a story. Not just the endless stream of lib propaganda on CNN. O'reilly does provide that.

Was THIS the story?

O'Reilly is creating a story here IMHO. I don't see her "Refusing" anyone. If every request to a Senator is not followed, it is far from being refused!

I agree. He's a dolt!

Reading his book currently, its pretty good.  As for the man himself, well, most folks either hate, or highly admire a man whos a New Yorker with as much confidence as he carries ;)

Seriously.. the guys a dolt.  Any one of us could do the same job... he just runs the 'protagonist' act into the ground. That ain't rocket science, and his subject matter is carefully selected to imrove his ratings. He's just another networks ratings pawn, and he'd sell his mommy (if he ever had one) fer a good exclusive controversy/expose.. aside from all that, the fact that i agree with him more often than not oughta scare the toejam outta all you guys.

Just the same, watchin his show is a lot more like watchin an amazinhunk contest than a news show... yet on the other hand, he's more entertaining than CNN. :)

he's still a dolt. :)
