One thing I realy do miss from those old maps were the Canyon battles. The tank fights were great the dog fights were great and heck the 2 combined were great. Think we could get a canyon V base somwhear on one of thease maps we use now?

Yep... gotta agree.  the canyon fighting was really fun...  Imagine if we had an area on the map that was early war planes only and it was one big "canyon world".

Hopefully we will get an oversized beta map. Even the larger maps we have in the MA now are too small, nothing but furrball o' rama when there are 150 players or more.

yep make the map as huge as you like just put the fields closer together.   LW guys can allways fly around in the back fields where there are no planes.

see... I can comprimise.

The best canyons by far are in the dueling arena. why not add those type of canyons to existing maps?

The cantons on Mindanao, are awsome no doubt(the whole map is a thing of beuity), but their is no objective in theam. On the old beta maps their was a reasion to fight in  the canyons for vehicals and planes.

Got to agree with brady.

Beta terrain was exceptionally well thought in terms of spawn points and bases for vehicles.

Roughly talking, you could not get a spawn point near a field if you didn't control the closer canyon VH, which was in danger if you did not have the other vehicle base in the canyon.

I loved that.

Cheers,

Pepe

Ops, forgot about Mindanao, it's without doubt the best map we have now, pretty big wich good range between fields, and LOTS of canyons  :)

Would be fun with the old Beta map aswell, the first of them all from the open beta  :)
