Reset the 2 week trial for every new major release. For a game that is continually improving... it makes sense that someone who didn't like it before may like it later.

They have already considered that.  How do I know?  I dont!...

But trust me, they have already considered it and for reasons not neccessarily obvious to me, you or the other three, the idea was nixxed.

Why?  The game is always free to download and try offline, maps etc included.  Would just end up with 2 weeks of an MA packed to capacity at peak times when lag is already a problem.

...leave it alone.

Off-line is not the same as on-line.  You know that.. everyone knows that.

On the surface its actually a danged good idea AKD.  But imagine if 3000 people more than the already full compliment of 3000+ people were trying to DL each and everytime a new release was issued....the horror....the horror  ;)

I would think a 365 day limit (or something) might be programed to allow the already timed out account to renew.

Good thot however.....

You all seem to be forgetting about the H2H... It was so fun it got me wanting to try some scenarios, CT, MA,tod etc, so I signed up.

H2H does not give you the opportunity to evaluate the strat system and the feel of the arena.  Sorry guys.. it is not the same.  People need to experience the arenas to give AH a fair shot.

Dunno why anyone would be against it actually.

H2H gives everyone  a chance to test/ retest this game and new versions.  as most of the regular h2hers know we have FFA ,team rooms and training rooms  (ussually after a new release). i think the system is just fine ... for Hitech knows what there doing by teasing us with 8 player rooms ... it makes us long for the big fights ,and more people to play against .. so we have to pay for that ....

2 weeks out of 3 months is not a big thing.  For every bit you feel they tease you with H2H.. multiply that by 10 and that's how much they tease you with a 2 week trial.

H2H is something you settle for, not something you try to sell a game with.

i guess my case doesn't really apply... but when my free 2 weeks originally ran out... ermm i started a second.. but when that ran out and i could no longer play for free... i didn't bother with h2h, it just wasn't the same...

o course when i found the coin i came back, but still maybe played h2h once or twice ever..

One two week trial is plenty.... you get plenty of feel for the MA and online play in two weeks.  After that you have free offline/H2H to give new planes and whatnot a try.  No sense in wasting bandwidth on people who'll most likely quit a second, third etc time anyway.

If HTC solves their bandwidth problem, yeah it's a great idea.  OTOH, if your plane warps because your dog farted, nah, they better not bring more folks into the arena.
