Napalm would be a great thing to use as a wall defense against GVs.

Got a wave of Ostiwinds coming to town? Lay down a wall of Napalm and stop them from advancing.

I doubt we will ever see napalm though. Being that fire is a heat weapon, and would have to burn for a period of time (say 2 minutes) there would be the inevitable spawn point bombing by everyone and their grandmothers.

Just think of the ENDLESS whines of both sides...

1. That guy just blew up in the fire, but I only got an assist!!!

2. I just blew up in a fugging spawn point fire. BS!!!

3. Hey, I dropped napalm on a spawn point and then someone else dropped there also!!! He's trying to steal my spawn kills!

4. WTF.. The entire runway at A7 is on fire with napalm!!! I can't take off in my Dweebfire!!!

5. Lamers! quit dropping napalm on this runway! This is OUR Field!!!

I think the potential of whines alone have permanantly excluded napalm from ever getting into this game.

A: Napalm is an incendiary substance developed by Harvard scientists cooperating with the U.S. army and used in bombs and flame throwers. Napalm is based on a mixture of gasoline and a thickening agent. Aluminum salts of napathenic acid and palmitic acid used for this purpose gave us the term napalm. The thick jelly-like material burns at up to 1830° F (1000° C) and clings to anything it touches.

Q: When and where was Napalm first used?

A: The first use of napalm occurred on July 23, 1944 during pre-invasion air strikes on the island of Tinian, part of the Marianas island chain in the Pacific.

Rather than adding napalm, how about adding the Lutwaffe's SD 4 HL Hollow Charge Anti-Personnel and Vehicle Bomb? 12 ounce shaped charge, total weight about 9 pounds. They were loaded in either the SB250 or SB500 containers -- 40 in the SB250 and 74 in the SB500. Just the thing for the annoying flakpansie -- armor-piercing cluster bombs. The same area effect as napalm -- a broad area covered with explosions -- but without the problem of having your frame rate nuked by a big plume of black smoke.
