bombers

As i feel i was a good bomber pilot the new system is definately challenging.  Last time i bombed a target and got good results was about 6 bomber missions ago.  And in correlation with my bombing attempts it comes out about 1 out of every 10 missions i have a good run.  A good run is where i hit what i actually aim at.  I am surely frustrated as i seem to do the same thing in calibration as i do every time with VERY different results.  Some times i am short other times am long.  I have found that i disregard salvo delay, i am more accurate with salvo 1.  As wind is never a factor I wonder if everybody is as inaccurate as myself.  I have also noticed that the bombers seem to be weaker...I was getting on an average of 5 kills per mission in my B26, now i am lucky to get 2, and this is not formation flying.  I find that the formations take to long to "attach" and are hard to maintain in formation with any kind of climbing or turning.  AND if one of the drones is hurt, that plane is usually left behind and destroyed.  I' m sure people have answers to these thoughts and will post here.....Teufl    C.O.  Widowmakers:confused:

I can't comment about level bombing as I haven't even tried it.

From a fighter perspective though, I feel buffs are even easier to kill now than they were before. (Given that the attacker has enough sense not to drive right up the six of a formation.) With a bit of alt and some stored energy, two passes through a formation will generally net you 3 kills and no pings if you come in where the turret arcs are disrupted.

Just my .02.  I'm sorry I'm wrong and I apologize to one and all in advance.

Guns are weak too now

I keep running into the problem of the guns not acting like they should. I will be on target, I.E. the Chin gun in the B-17 and the thing will quit firing! It is like it is thinking the guns about to shoot the plane so it stops firing. And when I get some one on my 6 I can not hit a thing. Almost like the spray of the rounds are off. And you cant count on the drones not to hit anything, but that is prolly just my convergance. That may be the answer to all my worries, the convergance. I will play with it and see. But there does need to be some examination of this I think.

The fire from the drones converges according to your convergance settings.  The buffs are quite spread out, so the spray quickly spreads apart after that point.

I have not attacked a fluff formantion in 1.10 because it is much easier to ignore them.  The easier it is to ignore fluffs and the less affect they have on gameplay the better the system works.

This is the same sentiment I hear from anyone who is trying to get the hang of the new bombing model. I also echo this sentiment.

IMHO the bomb drift is an excellent addition, the calibration as well. Maybe we can get the sensitivity of the speed calibration tuned abit. just a thought.
