How do you take a snapshot from AHFilm?
« on: July 22, 2002, 11:21:25 AM »
Ok, I tried everything I can think of, and the help files weren't that helpfull.

Is it possible to take a screenshot from AHFilm?  Whats the default key for it in there?

I got a couple of great passes on Zekes and Vals in the TOD on Friday and would like to get them in screenshot format.  Any help  out there?

there is a way i think but what i do is:

'alt -print screen' this will capture what ever is in the active window at the time and store it in the clip board, then just paste into your prefered program, (photoshop, paintshop pro, painter even MS word'

All you have to do then is cut off the bits you dont wantfrom , fiddle with it change to jpeg and post. :)

If you do a search in the screenshots forum theres loads of help on this kind of stuff.

hope this helps   :)

I am pretty certain Alt-S doesn't work for the AHFilm, but it does work if you use the Film Viewer which is on the clipboard.

Launch AH first clipboard got an option that says film click it.
Click on open & choose your film.
P for play f for fast forward s for stop r for rewind.
Go to f3 view then hit f8 & you can pan around using numbpad keys. Stop film at good spot hit alt,s the pic will be saved in c:/programe files/HTC/AH folder

If you get a film to work put out a flag cause half mine dont since patch:mad:
One thing I noticed if it doesnt run in the avi film viewer one it wont run in the clipboard one & its easier to reset from avi film viewer dont have to reboot if that locks up.

This works for me: Hit the Print screen key, then after exiting the game (or alt tab to minimize AH), open your paint program, press ctrl + v, and wella! there's your snapshot!

Btw, if you want to post it here, save it as a j.peg.:D
