Wel i dont look for cheats ,cuz i never ever cheats . But i have been a server admin for one of norways best Counter strike servers and i know what type of cheats there is in CS. I guess that if a game is popular , someone gonna try to make a cheat or 2 .
Me either, but typically common sense (if you are a computer person) will point you to the answer. Don't cry cheat unless you are 100% positive, otherwise you create skeptics, not allies.
* 1 autoaim , coud be possible
Requires a certain algorithm to work. I don't believe it can work here since there is actually bullet trajectory and leading of the target required. Autoaim works well in Quake and CS because there is no bullet trajectory or need to lead.
* 2 Wallhack , IS possible i guess
That is more or less a clipping deal, and wouldn't be applicable in this game- except for ground vehicles.
* 3 Speed hack
This looks identical to warping and would not produce the situation you describe above and have in the film.
and so on ... not hard to think what cheats coud be produced to this game .
Actually it is, since you don't know how well the program is encrypted and what kind of checksums are built in to detect program alterations.
Only thing i have a problem with is that blame it on the connection , wel if ALL or atleast alot of people have connection problems then the HOST is not good.
Most people inside the states enjoy fairly good connections. Of course, you are in Norway and this would probably explain a majority of your connection problems.
It dosent help that all here say/blame the connection when there coud be cheats out there. YOU players shoud be concerned about cheats and i woud never post this post if i hadnt any proof . view the film ... maybee it is connection this time ..BUT BE VERY CAREFULL ABOUT BLAMING CONNECTIONS for all who suspect a cheat .
Actually, it's the other way around. It doesn't help to accuse someone of cheating when it could be a multitude of things having to do with internet connectivity. His connection, your connection, the host's traffic, bandwidth at your end/his end/host's end, routers, backbones, the list goes on and on. Your connection is only a small fraction of the process for internet play on a remote host located in another country.
So be careful, if you think it's a cheat... don't let that be your first and last assumption, ask him for a film. Ask his team mates or your team mates what they saw. Ask him what his net status looks like. Check out your net status. Ask your friendlies if you are warping. Ask them if he was warping.
For someone to cry cheat so quickly, it sure seems like you didn't do a lot of troubleshooting to ascertain the situation.
Wooty- let me know when whatever game you are playing reaches 400+ players every night on the same server.
