I'm no expert, but my gradually improving technique tells me one thing is important over all in the selection of Buff killers.
It all depends on whether you are on the ground or up at co-alt with the bomber.
If you already have co-alt with the bomber, then the 190A8 with 30mm's is probably the best, closely followed by the Ta152H, (costly choice if you lose) G10 with the pods, 190A5 and then the Jug.
The G10 has great climb, good speed and weapons, but is fragile and has lousy high speed handling.
If the bomber is 30,000+, then the Ta152 or Jug.
If you are on the ground:
If the bomber is under 10,000 ft, then the Tempest, (if you want to spend the perks) G10, 190A5 or Typhoon are the best.
The Typhoon has the great guns, but its high speed handling is worse than the G10.
If the bomber is at 20,000 plus, the G10, Tempest or the 190D9.
The D9 is often underrated, but it has an excellent climb and speed, and I find the twin 20mm's and 2 13mm's are closely grouped enough to take down any bomber with two passes. It also has great high speed handling, especially roll, something you need to have for survivability when closing with the bomber.
That is also the reason the A8 is a better bomber killer than the G10 if A8 is already up there at alt.
My favourite approaches are either from directly above, or directly below. In the case of the attack coming down, starting slightly ahead and above the bomber, is important. If the attack is going to come up from below, starting above the bomber is also important. Then you drop down below the bomber, get slightly ahead, and build the big speed (450mph) you need in the zoom up into the bombers belly.
I find killing a bomber equally as tense a situation as taking on a fighter.
