Is AH a game or a sim to you?

Wasnt sure where to put this post so here it goes anyways. What do you all think about AH in terms of game or sim to you. Is AH a game or a sim to you. To me when I first started, I thought it was an awsome sim. These days I feel its more a game than a sim. It could have changed in FM or something or I just got used to it and want more sim/realism qualities but I feel these days its more a game (not that that a bad thing up to a point though). If I want a shooter upper, I'll go and play Castle Wofenstien online or MechWarrior 4 or whatever is new and great thats out now. So in my IMO, AH today is more a game and if thats the case then maybe someday we could see the Graph Zeppelin carrier and the 109T and some luftwaffe 46 or other stuff that didnt exist or was very rare during world war II. Heck if its a game, we can have it all then with little restrictions. Right?

they are trying to make war fun, so it can only be a game.

Yet every game comes with a goal (I think this games goal is field capture).

Thus I believe the real question is:

How many are playing the game, how many are just gaming the game?

I like to refer to it as an sim, but I believe it actually is 50% of each.

Personally I would prefer a bit more tecnical stuff, bombsight stuff in 1.10 was a big improvement IMO :)

Arcade sims is plentiful out there, lets keep AH a notch above those others, please.

It's a PC game, a simulator is a machine that is a training tool for pilots .

I always refer to it as a hobby....keeps people from thinking that I'm wasting my time playing a game.:)

I consider it both.  In the Main Arena it's definitely a game, while
the Combat Theater and special events it's more of a simulation.

Who cares?
Just fly it and have fun, calling it a sim doesnt make it any less fun, calling it a game doesnt make it any less challenging. I think people get on a high horse sometimes and have to confirm their own addiction, and sooth their ego, by saying one is more game like than another. It doesnt matter as long as your enjoying yourself.
In the end it's not important, nobody is going to die, not get qualified, or have their career ruined by how they fly in this on-line program or any other like IL-2 or Warbirds.
Anybody who doesnt fly/play this sim/game or any other, think we're all a bunch of nuts anyway.:D

It’s a game, it’s been a game, it will always be a game.  It’s just not an arcade game.  It could be a simulation though.  I’m fairly confident that if placed in the situation where I had to fly a P51 or an F4U I could, with ease, take off destroy my target and gently land at the same airfield that I took off from.

If you want a simulation, fly a TOD.

This is where I have the advantage.  I have no doubt I could jump in the cockpit of any WWII fighter and my AH skillset will transfer 100%.

I have the whole crash and burn thing down to a science.
