Well, in my highschool, fists were used when arguements got heated up, not shotguns.

GODLEY, Texas (Reuters) -- An argument over who was going to heaven and who was going to hell ended with one Texas man expiditing the process.

You guys are being too harsh, this guy was only creating an experiment to prove his hypothesis.

Understand K1, and I was using my example of how we've deteriorated as a society...where one has to use excessive force in a heated debate.

I don't think it was his intention to use excessive force. It read to me like the guys were just phucing around, and one got blasted.  More a drunken accident than any hostile action.

Well in my previous life (as a troubled teenager) we had weapons around to settle our disputes, but it never occured to use those on people.  Today, it seems if a kid has a problem, he gets a gun...

I know Rip, I know.  I never turned down a fight in school (long time ago).  It is sad that rutabagas got ahold of guns, because they got their tulips kicked for, running off with the mouth.  Yes society has deteriorated.  I cringe at the thought of my 10 mo. old's future presidents.   The dress code for the pres. by then will be tongue studs, toejamload of earings, baggy pants with a foot of underwear showing and pant legs that are constantly stepped on.

School shootings are mostly a sign of the problems in our state-funded, compulsory daycare centers,  not our society.  People  usually fail to see the cause of a problem when they are the cause.  So they look to outside sources to blame.  (Movies, video games, music, etc)

One thing that I've never really understood is how, a 17 year old kid in highschool can get away with stuff that would get an adult thrown into prison.  Lets see what happens when you're forced to be harrassed and assaulted for years.
