Author Topic: c.202 Does anyone esle fly it? (Read 442 times)

I spent some time in this ride these days but for all the time I only met 1 enemy c.202. When I checked stats for this bird it has over 550 kills so aparently someone HAS to fly it. Unfortunately there is no option in the stats to display eg. top 10 pilots flying given model (If I remember right someone here some time ago did have a stats like this but because it was gained using 'bruteforce' leeching all known handles this project was stoped by HTC because of excessive traffic generation).

So ppl anyone of you do fly this plane on regular basis? How do you like it, what are your stats in it? And most of all is it only me who would like to see a bombload option for 202? (in RL it could carry bombs and in AH it would give the 202 at least some anti GV capability (IMHO)).

My stats in 202 for this tour:

Kills in: 56 Died in: 16

A couple of days ago I saw in the buffer a guy landed a 6 kill run in the .202. Pretty impressive, I never get anything but assists.

If memory serves me well couple of days ago Orel landed 7 victories in a 202 and then he made a comment that:

I fly the 202 when it's available in the CT.

I'm sure I get killed more than I get kills. Nevertheless, there's no satisfaction quite like what you get when you shoot someone down with that WWI armament.

It's otherwise a delightful plane to fly, very fast (for its time), great climber, decent turner. Guns are pathetic, and it's not very sturdy (I'm always losing alierons, for some reason). Pretty paint job.

I agree with the assists part, I can never seem to get much else with 202 unless it's a 1 v 1 fight and the other guy sucks so I can get some decent hits in. By that time I need to reload since the ammo doesn't have all that great a punch with it, I end up using the whole clip.

The 202 is a nice plane, because often people tend to ignore it, and go after the nearest n1k2 or spit, giving you an easy shot

I fly the 202 from time to time. A week or two or ago I was flying a 202 out of a24 on the isles map and I landed a couple of 2kill sorties. Had a couple other hops that I scored 2 kills (and several assts in all hops) but ended up dead. I did manage to bag 2 spit14s while flying the 202

Even got some bullets in a 262 giving him an oil leak. Unfortunately he RTB'ed and landed.

My best streak in the 202 was 9 kills in a single hop. Was the mindano map, and I picked up all the kills around A38. Was engaged by a pair of ponies and ended up dead when I misjudged the E state of one of them (but not before I sent the other one smoking in... too bad I died before he did

actually i find the opposite, everyone ganging a 202 for an easy kill

I must without a doubt say that may favorate Axis firgter is the Machi C.205, I got my first kill in it (a couple years ago) in AH, and while I may stray from it from time to time I dearly love it. I know I know this is a 202 thread, I fly it in the CT, like oldman does when it is available, I like it too, I find them both very pleasent to fly. I howeaver rarely use the 202 in the MA. I hope one day we get a few more planes from the early way perioud so we can do a Libbia/Egyept map in the CT, and do some good battles with the 202 when it was in it's prime:)
