The seating of the legislature was arranged in a semi-circle, and the different political parties, while trying to get into caucusing groups wound up sitting so that the left side was full of liberals, and the right side, the conservatives.

What i mean is "conservative" can mean "right" - like commies here in Russia, while "liberals" are "right" (pro-western parties).
Also, can you judge who was conservative or liberal between left communists (Trotsky, Mao, Khoji) or right communists (Tito), or "centrists" like Stalin?
