Everybody seems to be anticipating the next release from HTC. I know I am. So I thought we could all share our predictions for 1.08 with each other.

Let me get started with a few, I will probably add a few more if others add some as well.

1) We will get new planes that some will like and others will squeak and moan about because the much vaunted XPFw-435A-9b was not added, though clearly there was mass support for this plane here on the boards.

2) RAM will come back for about a week, maybe two, and then promptly post that he is leaving because of the porked 190 model and the fact that he is "the wrong guy for the community."

3) No matter what plane(s) are added, I will still be killed by Fester, Nash, Zig, and Mitsu.

4) The F6F will still be porked. Come on HTC, there are many accounts written long after the war, based on 2nd hand information by biased individuals who never flew any other fighters that say that the F6F was the best fighter of the war. How come I am still getting shot down in it?

F4U – still porked.

We will see several of our old vets that migrated to WW2Ol...some I'll be happy to see..others not so much.

I think we might see trains also, but that is just rumor at this time.

The F6F stall modelling will be reworked and it will have gentle and forgiving stall characteristics. Mathman will never be shot down again.

I predict that v1.08 will be incredibly buggy, will have been released a year too soon, that it will take 10 minutes to switch positions, there will be a 70 megabyte patch to download, and there will still be horrendous stability issues after the patch is released.

and i hope to god that we do not get a spit mk. XIV...there's too many spits already. I'm hoping for an Me-410 B-2 (w/ 50mm cannon), an He-177 A-5, and a Mosquito.
