What brand was that? It was real smooth. I want to pick up a bottle to have around the house.

The first bottle was russian:
Kremlovskya ( or something close to that ). In Russian Cremlin is spelled Kremlin so look for variation of that.
Recommend it highly. Make sure it's well frozen before consumption.

Second bottle was polish vodka called Luksusowa, and personally i can't say that I'm a big fan of it. Many better polish vodkas can be purchased, not in US though :(

If you want to try good polish vodka, look for "Bufflo Grass" vodka. "Zubrowka". Good stuff !!!

Is Kremlovskya the one that makes a chocolate vodka?

Cold drinks come off alot smoother (the temp deadens your taste buds.)  However, if you enjoy tasting little nuances of the drink, you'll miss those.  Just a guess as to why it is suggested here.

Best vodka from Poland is Polmos Bialystok.

Absolutely smooth, you can drink it almost like water.

Its really a pity that there is no distibutor in Germany :((

Yes, but if i'm not mistaken, chocolade type is made in US. Make sure you get the imported stuff.
I had the one you're speaking off, didn't like it too much.

As for serving cold, I prefer it that way. Personal preference i guess. It should be at least somewhat cold thou. I absolutelly hate room temperarure vodka.

Strange Ski, I thought the Polish stuff was better than the Russian Vodka.  Much smoother, and the Russian Vodka had a taste similar to rubbing alcohol.

Now, that apple schnapps that the FDB's made me drink later that night.... GACK!!! ;)

Actually it tasted good, but was just too sweet to go on top of about 8 or 9 beers and 5 vodka shots.

Another good vodka out there that is readily available in the U.S. is Grey Goose, even though it's French (I believe) try not to hold that against it, it's a fine drink. :D

I had an apple schnapps called Berenzen (sp?) that was really good as a mixer, but terrible by itself.

Jager, is probably the smoothest thing out there (that has any alcohol worth mentioning) when cold.  Love it.

Try Tito's Handmade Vodka, it's great!  It's made in Austin, Texas and is gaining quite a rep as a fine drink.
