So, like, I was totally digging that site on my laptop in my office when some salesman came in and started hassling me about a contract or something.  Or maybe it was about how I'm not returning any of his phone calls. I wasn't really paying attention 'cuz I was getting totally into ninjas and, like, their ultimate power. Anyway, I totally flipped out and cut off his head.

Pics to follow, whenever I get around to buying a digital camera.

The music alone is enough to cause injury. Everyone was wondering what the hell? Maybe I'll play it over the intercom.

Fatty, if I start reading FSU stuff, I'll not get anything accomplished between now and Aug 24th!

Too late!  hmm, Henshaw to tight end is a good move.  We're thin there, and have a plethora of QBs.  Interesting read on Rix in ESPN mag. http://espn.go.com/magazine/vol5no17rix.html

Yeah, saw that.  Major Applewhite just had Bobby Bowden on his local radio show about 30 minutes ago.  Longhorn fans might be interested to know he picked FSU #1 this year (of course who would know better that Chris Simms is no Major Applewhite :D

Oh yeah, heard about the Major getting the radio gig.  Lemme know if he ever rips on Simms.  ;)

Oh well, no QB controversy in Texas this year.  Dunno why Major didn't play more last year.  Sure Simms has better physical talents, but Applewhite performed better in the big games.  Kinda like back in 90 and 91 for FSU.  Johnson was the better physical guy, but Weldon won games so he started.  Look at them now, Johnson has had a long NFL career starting for playoff contenders, and Weldon was last seen in the XFL.  ;)

Yeah, it's just a different game.  Heck I'd take Charlie Ward over Peyton Manning any day for my college team, but I think he absolutely made the right decision to not even try playing pro.

I think Mack Brown got a lot of pressure to play Simms but it was a lot like Johnson vs Weldon, fans wanted Applewhite all the way (didn't help that Applewhite kept coming in to win games that Simms had left losing).

edit re: poll-

Tis okay, anyone in top 10 controls their own destiny to get to natnl championship, the season will weed out the rest.

Miami plays FSU, UF, Tennessee
Texas plays OU, Nebraska
OU plays Texas, Colorado
FSU plays Miami, UF
Tennessee plays UF, Miami
Colorado plays Oklahoma, Nebraska
UF plays Miami, Tennessee, FSU
Nebraska plays Texas, Colorado
Okay Washington and Michigan only play each other and could be shut out, but that serves them for waiting so long to drop the rose bowl snobbery.

Canes should be #1 until someone knocks them off, IMO.  They lost some starters, but they're returning Dorsey and some others.  The biggest lost is McKinney who covered Dorsey's blindside.  If Tennessee and Florida can exploit the new starting left tackle and get to Dorsey...  Miami might have two losses by the time FSU visits on Oct 12th.  oh, nevermind.  Miami and Tennessee don't play until November.

Hey Rip.  That's the Coaches' poll.  Not the AP poll.

Which Pacific team do you think should be ranked higher?

Huskies, Cougars and Ducks all are in the top 15.
