JG2, A Day in the Life: A photo essay
« on: June 03, 2000, 10:55:00 PM »
I wanted to document a day in the life of one of our squads here; the infamous JG2. After repeated attempts, Ripsnort finally relented and granted me permission to ride along, asking only that I come unarmed. Being from Bishland, enemy to all that is Knitland, I understood this request. Taking nothing but my trusty Nikon and the clothes on my back, I was finally off on my journey...

I've always been fascinated by this group. What makes these people tick? What goes on in their world? Despite their huge numbers, sightings are somewhat scarce. If by chance you do meet up with them, you can't but help to notice the almost ingrained tendancy to turn and run, to flee. Avoiding armed conflict seems to be their mantra, "Run!", their battle cry.

I was granted a rare opportunity to get a glimpse inside the world of these secretive flyers, and for that I am grateful. Here now, I bring you, "JG2: A Day In The Life"

JG2 group picture just before setting off on a typical squad night sortie (note: only 1/16th of the squad is shown - a wide angle lens would have come in handy here):

In this photograph, we see Udie and JoeMud demonstrating fine form here; notice the tight wingman formation:

Uh oh... Looks like RAM got himself into a bit of hot water...

RUN Ripsnort! RUN!!!

And the surving squad members huddle together for a group picture, celebrating another fine squad night:

I'd like to thank Ripsnort for allowing me this opportunity, and also to the girls of JG2. It was an experience I'll not soon forget.

Yes easymo, I agree. But Swager is a little insecure about that, so I promised not to mention it.

Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

It looks as if my right leg is undermodeled a bit.  Otherwise one heck of a good expose.  Just wait for the slumber party, only cameras aren't allowed there
