go to ur Settings folder in AH folder and go down to m's and look for me-163. Its there i've seen it. and if u dont have it then u didnt d/l v1.10

It's not that you may or may not be able to have a file with it on there, but rather, is it a plane that is enabled by the host. You might have a file, you might not. It won't matter unless it is enabled by HTC.

That is my understanding.

You already have the file, you just can't use it.

You already have it. Our FEs would not have been able to display the Evil Con Mission's units if it wasn't already in 1.10.3.

There is no additional file, HTC simply hasn't enabled the Me163B yet.

Be patient, it'll come in the next patch. Probably.

Why would you be able to find it? It is not a separte file. You don't have files for the other aircrat (I assume as I don't).

The sound folders and gunsight files are not always present. Gunsight files are not present until you fly the aircraft and sound folders are not present until you create them.

Karnak, dont even try. He flooded the MA with "HOW DO I loving GET 163!", after 100 people told him there was no additional file to download, he brings it to BBS and trys again.

BTW, why are you looking in your HTC/Aces High folder? You wont find 163 there, and you wont find anyother plane either.

Empire-

Breath. Count to 10. Relax. Fluff a pillow. When you are ready to listen, read further (and the above posts).

The plane exists on your system, if you are flying the latest version (have you played AH lately online, including H2H? Yes, then you have the latest version).

Can you fly it?

No.

Why not?

It is not enabled by HTC.

I think you are looking for the plane in your in-game menu. You won't find it there because it has not been enabled yet. The plane exists in your files, on your hard drive, but is not accessible for gameplay until HTC enables it. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING YOU CAN DO FOR NOW BUT WAIT UNTIL HTC DECIDES TO TURN IT ON. You won't see it in any in-game menu until then.

Read this very carefully, and relax. You are not getting the shaft. No one is out to get you. You are not missing out on anything. You aren't being hosed. Nobody is flying this plane right now (they did at the con mission, but becaue HTC enabled the plane for a little while) Keep reading the boards, and you will hear more about updates and when new planes will be enabled. AS far as I know, this is the only one that is already on our machines, but not available for gameplay yet.

Breathe some more....

OMG i do have 1.10.3 but theres no NO!! me-163 files anywhere on my hardriveAND NO!!!again i did not look in the htc/aces high folder alone i looked in the settings folder...!!I KNOW WHAT IM ATLKING ABOUT I HAVE THE GAME I PLAY AT LEAST 6 OUT OF 7 DAYS AND I DONT HAVE IT!!!whyI DUNNO!!!THATS WHY I WNT IT!

Empire2,

Those files are only generated after you have flown the aircraft in question. Until then, they don't exist. Because HTC hasn't enabled the Me163 you can't fly it and thus can't get those files to appear.

What you can do is create a folder in your sounds folder called "163" You can then put sounds into that folder that will be used by the Me163 on your system, but only once HTC enables it.

Ok, I give. Even before my first post, I thought to myself:

"Self, should we get involved and try to help?"

Then, in an act of generosity, self replied to self, and said:

"Self, it would be an act of kindness on your part to help the less fortunate try to inderstand, and perhaps do some good for some poor bloke in the community"

So I go on about explaining what should be simple to understand.

Oh well.

I guess I should just go ahead and mention, that we all can fly it by pressing alt-F4 next time he's in the air (make sure you're in a me-262 for a proper conversion), and that I didn't WANT to let this guy in on the secret, but I can't stand this anymore.
