just a thought,
Towing a glider with a c47 would make a historic and a new way of delevery. I think trucks would be way too slow, you would have to have a convoy to get past the straffingattacks on trucks. I do not know how hard it would be to insert in the game, but i like the idea .

Why just not fly the C-47 to target area and drop the troops out? Glider does not bring any new possibilities (except maybe with heavy equipment transportation).

Bingo.   Heavy equipment transport would be awesome!  A good drop could set a armor division right in the back door of an enemy.
