Yesterday, the Royal British Airforce failed in their attempt to bomb the Nazi reinforcements.
A small task force of 5 Lancasters and 8 Spit's took off England in an attempt to deliver a message.
After a long climb, the German JG effectively intercepted our task force. All were lost including myself, all the brave Lancaster pilots, and a few spit drivers.
Hats off to TheFatz, Beeger, Storm, XAKL, UBO, and all other pilots who attempted our mission.
Hats off as well to the German Luftwaffe for their excellent interception of our strike force.
Scary thing was, it felt very real, very dangerous, and things happened very fast when the crap hit the fan. Pilots screaming over the intercom, 109's zipping in and out of the bomber formation, spit drivers desperately fighting a high altitude role ill suited for the mission. My thoughts go to the real pilots of WWII who had to endure this on a daily basis.
<S>alute to all who braved the war last night.
