So long all!
« on: June 04, 2000, 06:39:00 PM »
Well, today I reluctantly cancelled my account.  Unlike some other previous departures, mine has nothing to do with the IMO excellent gameplay of AH, but rather some personal health concerns which I can't ignore any longer.

I was away for the last three weeks, and after returning yesterday, it seems that many of my kills are either slammed or deemed vulching or Dweebishness, and with my remaining free time before I have to get really serious about treatment, I don't want to put myself through any further aggrevation.  I don't blame anyone else for this, I just seem to be a bit thin skinned and touchy now I guess, and having me blow up on people reflects badly on the squad I've loved flying with so much.

I'm glad AH was my first online flight sim I played; It's nice to have played the best game with the best guys.

During my stay with Combatsim a few months ago, the folks here at HTC were very gracious, taking my almost daily phone calls and providing me with lots of scoops and information.  You won't find an easier to deal with software company anywhere in my not-so-humble PC industry opinion, and I'm sure 1.03 and future releases will kick some major ass.

Anyhow, just wanted to say goodbye, and I hope you all enjoy this game and community as much as I have the past four months.

With what you are going through I firmly believe that state of mind really does affect your recovery. I't bothers me to hear that your leaving... but under the circumstances this probably is the right move. I wish you the best of luck, and when you beat this thing, you had better haul yer bellybutton back in here!

Gman,
It's been a pleasure having you fly with JG2.  We will miss you very much.  You're always welcome back on the flight line any time you wish.  We will preserve your locker (and keep the likes of Saw out of it)

Good luck and Godspeed!
