Embarrassing question.

Embarrassing question, since I has been an active WB pilot for four years and Ah pilot since day one, and still has to ask this question.

Sim Ladder, how does it work, and what is it you must do ?

I should know this by now, but still

You smell that? Do you smell that?
Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that.
I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
The smell, you know that gasoline smell, smelled like victory.

lasse,
I believe you're referring to the dueling ladders like Deft's for WB.  Basically, it's a system that allows players to be ranked in their ability to fight 1vs1.  Whether they fly same aircraft or not is optional.  It's usually a set of three duels whereby the challengers merge from the same altitude, then at merge begin combat.  The winner is the last one in the air.  Each player is dynamically ranked as they win or lose battles.

Right, Leonid.

Also, there are points to be earned based on how high the person's rank was you defeated. Exile has posted some thoughts on the topic in the H2H forum, some very good ideas. We'll also have rankings for individual aircraft (who's the master of a particular type, who's the master of them all?). You climb to the top of the ladder by accumulating points, and you accumulate points by killing planes.

H2H is perfect for sharpening ACM skills against single opponents, and is a refreshing break from MA play (not that the MA is bad!). Myself, I find myself in the arena trying to isolate individuals to fight anyway.

*crawls out from under a rock*

I killed the simladder site a couple months
ago and moved it to the warbirds scorepages.

You can find a new warbirds ladder there,
along with new warbirds scorepages.
