You can buy CH Pro Rudder pedals which are USB and can be used as a separate device (which AH and most modern sims support) I see you're from good ole blighty so I would definately recommend buying from RC Simulations I've used them when purchasing my TM Cougar and the support and service I recieved was second to none, considering the weight of the Cougar there was no extra delivery charge and they arrived the day after I ordered them!

The rudder pedals I mentioned above can be found at their site here Note this is the page for the gameport ones but they are the same as the USB ones, same price too.

Yes you can purchase pedals alone. I can't tell you which is best, only that I have tried Thrustmaster and CH pedals and prefer the CH. They are both good quality pedals..it just comes down to personal preference. I purchased mine at Chips and Bits, although I'm sorry to say I can't seem to find the link to them. Fire up your search engine, it will get you there.

CH pro pedals usb !

they are likely the the choice of most.

They have one weakness which is the wiring for the toe brakes which guys have posted how to fix when the time comes.

You can also use pedals which come from a steering wheel combo, if you happen to have one laying around.  And some steering wheel/pedal combos are pretty decent if you like driving sims and cheaper than the CH

You also have the option of a twist handle stick which emulates rudder peds. Saitek's Cyborg USB is such a stick and costs $30 +/-
If you're determined to have real pedals, get the CH Pro USB's

I have SIMPED-vario pedals and IMO they are easily the best available, although they dont have toe brakes. The manufacturer ships them world wide, I got mine in 2 weeks.:)http://home.t-online.de/home/d-hofmann/homeeng.htm

Strange request here. Can someone with Simpeds measure the width at the widest point.

Upgrading to a cougar and may go with simped instead of Elite but I have a space problem ( big oak desk ) The Elite fit :)

Simped are the best. They use magnets instead of resistors(which can get dirty and cause spiking). They are also wide and feel closer to the real thing. I had a little trouble getting them to work with my MS stick but a squaddie has them along with his Cougar stick and his works fine.

LLB OUT!!!!!
