My new toy (GTO)

Guys
I just got my new GTO last thursday!

It is a 68, with a 400 cube motor and a turbo 400 tranny.

It runs great, has big diskbrakes in the front and will soon have a gear doubler in it so I can have over drive.

After that come the global west from suspension, and then AC

I am not sure what the deal is with them, they are complete minus the vacum canister, but are not hooked to a vacume source. I think the last owner after the engine was rebuilt didnt hook up the vacume lines.

I will fix that soon. :D

The interior is good, it needs a new back seat cover, and the vynl woodgrain in the dash needs to be replaced.

I think I will replace it with real wood vinear, and I may try and redo the back seat myself, how hard and putting the new vynl be?

the rest is great, good carpet, front seats and door panels.. hehe, hell even the gas gauge works! :D

Man, I am so jealous. They just don't have that many here in Louisiana so I will never get my hands on the car that I have wanted since I was a kid. I could get one, but honestly I don't have that kind of money to spend on what they ask around here for one. Maybe one day I will be lucky and find one that I can work on.

Yeah they are getting very pricey, but I decided to use some of the money from my dads estate to buy it.

The one we worked on together just needed to much work.

Hell, my dad would have loved this car!

Gto, I'm glad to see you back in a Goat. You were depressed without one. Enjoy:)
