« on: August 14, 2002, 05:45:42 AM »
Thanks for reading this:)  People can understand me over Roger Wilco and TeamSpeak crystal clear.  But when i get onto AH vox it only works like for 30 mins after a reboot then my transmissions begin to get quiet and broken up.  Plz help:)

It's a bug in AH.
It likes to randomly turn mic boost off.

Go to your windows recording controls, and under microphone, go to advanced.  Turn mic boost off, then turn it back on.

That should fix it.

It is only a bug with certain soundcards.  I have a hercules game theatre xp 6.1 and have never experienced the problems.  However, members of my squad with Sound Blaster cards are continually plagued with exactly the issue you describe.

The solution is listed in the previous reply.  Just go to sound controls and click the checkbox for db boost.  However, it seems a bit silly to me that a vox program should require a 20 decible boost just to make it audible...

I wish someone would make the vox programs automaticly normalize volume, so soft people become louder, and loud people become softwer.

Mic boost isn't necesaary for those using Nforce onboard audio.  Mine is off and AH voice slider at 3/4.
