Aerial pics over PR
« on: August 15, 2002, 07:09:28 PM »
Well I was practicing my landings today and felt a bulge on my pocket. It was my Canon Digital Elph wich was still in my pants from the night above.

It was a nice afternoon, so I took some pics for your enjoyment.

This is the touristic area of El Condado. If youve ever been to Puerto Rico, chances are you have been there:

A nice view of the Caribe Hilton:

A close-up of El Morro castle, a spaniard built fortification to protect the capital from all those pesky pirates, yarrr!!

Animal himself :)  (flying sideways)

Full flap landing

The plane I was flying was a Cessna 152 (N757FV), as comfortable as a VW Beetle, and any wind gust will push you around like a cheap potato.
If anyone comes around my island, a plane ride and a pitcher of beer are in order.

Is that castle supposed to be the one that is haunted?  I saw something on TV once about a haunted castle in the Carribean, and that looks like the one they were talking about.

I'm pretty sure I've actually been to that fortress in my early teens on a family vacation.  The only other thing I remember is taking a bus tour that took us to some college and the students yelling sentiments similar to "Americans, go home!"

Based on those pictures, you live in a very beautiful place.

Animal, I feel you have invaded my airspace with the close proximity of the camera to your face. You must have very short arms or the camera was on zoom.

And BTW, cool aid is for kids.

The left-wing liberals probably yelled something like "gringo, go home".
Grunherz would love em.

Zoom, so you could appreciate the castle. Though I bet you were excited by the closeup of my face.
I wasnt drinking cool aid. Thats the natural color. Latin flavor.

Seriously though how long have you been flying. I had to put my own flying adventures on hold for a while.
