Well, I could be tempted. It would be great to meet ALL the people who have posted in this thread, plus guys like trikky, shift, and above all - Hammy!
I have mixed feelings about cons. I went to four WB cons - two in the US, and twice to the Eurocon in Holland. On the one hand, it's great to see everyone, but as for playing the flight sim, I have often wondered why people go to so much trouble to ship their computer equipment hundreds of miles to do something which they can do from the comfort of their own living room.

But don't get me wrong - I love these events, but it's the people that count

I'll come if I'm invited.

Now you might think that because I can be such a pain in the neck on boards like this (I was the same in WB) that I might not be that popular. Well, I guess I often speak for the silent majority because I get invited to gamers' homes in different parts of the world, and that is wonderful.
Here's a pic at this years WB Eurocon in Holland. I posted this before, and no-one guessed which one was me. Well, I'm the crusty old greybeard in the lilac shirt and black hat, telling a joke. I think I was the second oldest guy there!
