Have any of you heard about the latest kidnapping in VA? Heres a link if you have not heard.

CNN News

This one took place 10 miles from where I live. If you would please say a little prayer for her, as this little girl has suffered alot.

Condolences to the family, but so far this year, we're on pace to have the fewest non-family member kidnappings in 4 years.  Its all media hype that you're seeing on TV, that does NOT take out the seriousness of the offense, but again, the almightly Ratings = $$...last year "Shark Attacks"...this year "Child Abductions".

Incidently, NBC reported this Wednesday night as if they weren't part of the media hype. Ref: "Top story: Could the media be out of hand with the hype on child abductions"

The media hype may be accomplishing a good thing though, as it helps that everybody knows what is going on and who to look for.  At least one of these cases was solved because somebody had been watching all the coverage of all this and turned the kidnapper in.  They might not have suspected anything wrong if they didnt see all the hoopla on the news.

Agreed Durr, but believe me, its about cash, ratings to them, the "Awareness" is collateral gain for their self esteem.  I have to ask questions like "Why NOW all the attention? Where was it in 1999, when we hit a record high for non-family member abductions?"

Its all about the new "Amber Alert" system. Hype is good in this case.

That is truly shocking, what kind of sick bastards are walking the streets??

The one that upset me the most is the case in the UK of little Holly and Jessica, two little girls missing from their homes for over 2 weeks now.  Some sick cretin has those two girls if he hasnt already killed them.  I'm sure their families would appreciate your prayers for their safe return as well as this poor little thing from VA.

If a single guy kidnaps 2 girls at the same time, he isn't a cretin. He's a dangerous coldblooded criminal with a lot of experience.

Try and think like a criminal: would you go and kidnap 2 girls at your first try?

It would scare me to try and think like one of these animals.
It is just slightly possible that this is not his first try, there is another girl missing little Amanda has been missing for a couple of months now in roughly the same area.  Police say they do not beleive the two kidnappings are connected but how can you be sure when you don't know anything about this/these twisted perverts.

I just heard a radio report that 2 people (1 man and 1 woman) working at the girls school were arrested.

The police stated that they are now searching for the corpses...:(

How can people get so screwed in their head I'll never understand...

Yup heard that this morning:(

I just cant figure out how people can be that twisted.  Two little girls, God bless them, what harm did they do to anyone??  Well at least their suffering is over, may they rest in peace.

God is so great that nothing happens without His permission, and in that permission His ultimate plan unfolds. In His plan He is able to use for good what man intends for evil. God is in control.

Don't really wanna get into religion, but I was brought up to beleive that God gives us all free will and cannot take that away from us.  One thing is certain it's not God's fault, its the those sick bastards that killed those little girls.

The police said that they are 'As certain as they can be' that the bodies found on Saturday are Holly and Jessica.  What does the fact that they havent been able to formally identify them yet tell you guys??  I shudder to think what these perverts did to the little ones.

Any word on the little mite from VA?? (Jennifer I think??)
