perk point useage
« on: August 18, 2002, 09:06:00 AM »
I've always thought the use of perk points could be greatly expaned without heavy codeing or game issue's(I could be wrong, only HTC knows)

-being able to buy 'uber' incendeary rounds with pts..(they'd be
cheap but you don't get points back.. even when you land; in   my theroy)

-being able to bet perks point's vs other players( "I bet 25 perks
I can land 5 kills before you in plane x."or some such nonsense)

-Being able to pay small amount of perks for repairs at rearm pad

being able to simply give perks to other players or maybe just squadies (I've wanted to do perk missions with squadies who are just a  bit short of the points needed.. I'd give them a few points to fly with them in that plane if I could)

well if you have more perk ideas please post maybe we'll give HTC a good idea .   Me i just want to bet with some smug sob and take some of his perkies hehe... but eveyone may not think thats a good idea.   but post a bit about it ... maybe htc will expand the perk system if we state good idea's that the comunity wants... well do you want the system expaned like this?

How about just making the perk planes fun to fly?

Ditto Manedew suggestion, but I'll say nay on the airstarts! :)

Lazs' Tour 31 Stats:

41 kills and 13 deaths.

F4U-1: 40 kills and 13 deaths.
F4U-4: 1 kill and 0 deaths.

You know Lazs, as long as you stick in the F4U I just can't take any of your squeaking seriously.  If you want to mock people for using top end fighters, you had best stop using top end fighters yourself, and yes, all F4Us are top end fighters.

LOL Laz! Actually if one sucks that much one thinks they need a perk plane it won't really do them any good.  You still have to know how to fly it ....

Karnak, if you had met Laz at the con I beleive you would understand it was a tounge in cheek comment he just made.;)

Mark,

Based on his long history on the BB, I doubt that very much.  He is probably a fun guy, but he is also very opinionated and dismissive of anybody else's idea of fun.

Typically I fly an aircraft that is at a huge disadvantage to what Lazs chooses to fly.  I don't appriciate his imprecations because I happen to also like the Spitfire Mk XIV I'm somehow less than he.  Its roadkill.
