standard operating procedure for a jug. let the wep run out while climbing on default climb and by the time you've reached altitude, your engine is cooled off again. there doesn't seem to be any time limit on wep, like there would be in real life. I haven't officially tested it--but then I've never run out of WEP. the only limiting factor, in the jug at least, is engine heat.
